PIX: NwuliaREADS first tour ends with a winner emerging in Mutiu Yusuf prize for NwuliaREADS creative writing competition, Feb 2015

Location: Community Secondary School, Ede-Oballa, Nsukka, Enugu state. 

 On  the morning of 11th February, 2015, the two persons crew of NwuliaREADS (Andrew Chimezie and Chimezie Anajama) went to the school to give prizes to the students that participated in the competition that held on 4th of February. The competition attracted 62 entries.

The star prize, two novels (Achebe's Things Fall Apart and Adichie's Purple Hibiscus) and a sum of five thousand naira, was won by Miss   Okwor Peace Blessing of SS3B of the school (third picture). Her entry, "it could've been me" was a story woven around her junior WAEC examination. Her regrets at her inability to make the best result in her time.

Four Nani Boi series books were given to four students as consolation prizes whose entries impressed the judges. The students were:

Miss Eze Oluchi Stephanie       SS3B

Miss Ezugwu Cynthia Ifeoma  SS3A

Master Asogwa Christian             JS3D 

Miss Omeje Charity Chioma      JS1D (the youngest recipient).


The crew also made an official presentation of the 43 literary books the initiative donated to the school's library to the principal of the school at her office.


The competition judges include:

Okodo Onyedikachi (English tutor and M.a student, English and Literary studies, UNN).

Amadi Nnaemeka (OAP, Lionfm, Nsukka).
