Power sharing in Taraba state, Northern Nigeria.

In Africa, some countries like Zimbabwe have experimented with power sharing.. Remember the Mugabe/Tsivangarai. Well the trend seems to be getting popular as a northern state in Nigeria was instructed to adopt it by the party in power.....

PDP Asks Acting Taraba Governor to Continue in Office, but to Take Instructions from Gov. Suntai
According to the first reports Jalingo, the capital of Taraba state, Senator Hope Uzodinma committee empanelled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to mediate in the state political dead-end has asked the state's deputy governor to continue in office as acting governor but should take instructions directly from the ailing Governor Danbaba Suntai.
Kefas Sule, the spokesperson to the Acting Governor, informed the newsmen about this decision Tuesday afternoon, after the committee met with Governor Suntai and Deputy Governor Garba Umar.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Senator Hope Uzodinma said Mr. Umar should continue to rule Taraba based on instructions he receives directly from Mr. Suntai.
It would be recalled that the PDP / Presidency delegation arrived to Jalingo at 11.00 a.m. earlier today.
